EXHIBITION 'NOW' / exposition 'maintenant'

I KON I KALI reflects both the constants and the crucial changes in my life and work. I search to discern the rhythm and harmony that lies under the apparent. My heart and hands are engaged in response to the model and the landscape. The nude figures have been 'dressed up' with sari and tiddue that covers and accentuated their form. My recent paintings and drawings combine elements from my past work to form layers in a semi circular format. This invites the viewer to place the image in relation to their personal perspective. I play with a sense of visual disorientation that asks the question 'where and who am I'.
