ARTIST'S STATEMENT   
                                                                  

I draw, paint and sculpt to uncover the structure inherent in all I see.

Using simple tools such as charcoal, erasers, oil paint and clay, I carve out the shape of the space and draw in the planes of light and shadow on form.

Under the appearance that masks the person and behind the tourist version of the landscape lies a natural harmony and history of physical evolution.

The image is worked as a whole without method or logic. The process stops when the essential is visually defined.

I try to create works of art that require no interpretation just the immediacy of direct perception.
